CARING THROUGH SHARING

The Pi Gamma Lambda Chapter sponsored this initiative in association with National Adoption Day.  Recognizing the value of parents who immerse themselves in the adoption process, Pi Gamma Lambda wanted to provide these newly-formed families with Thanksgiving baskets full of food for the holidays.  The average basket weighed 30 pounds and included a turkey and all the trimmings.  Our Chapter sponsors this activity around National Adoption Day (just before Thanksgiving) and again at Christmastime.

The brothers also take the opportunity to partner with other Fraternities and Sororities to affect positive change in the community.   In keeping with the mandates of Project Alpha, the chapter reached out to the community and informed participants about vital statistics and dangers of sexually transmitted diseases.
