Greetings and welcome!

On December 4, 1906, seven visionary college men founded Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., at
Cornell University, recognizing the profound power of brotherhood, academic excellence, and
advocacy. Eighty-three years later, in January 1989, the Pi Gamma Lambda Chapter was
established to carry that legacy forward—initially serving military Brothers at Fort McPherson in
Atlanta, Georgia. Today, we are proud to call Clayton County our home and remain deeply
committed to making a positive, lasting impact throughout our community.

The men of Pi Gamma Lambda actively serve Clayton County through Alpha Phi Alpha’s core
National Programs:

  • A Brother’s Keeper: Advocating for an improved quality of life and supporting our most

  • vulnerable community members.

  • A Voteless People is a Hopeless People: Driving voter education, registration, and civic empowerment across our neighborhoods.

  • Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College: Inspiring young minds to pursue higher education as a

  • gateway to lifelong success.

  • Project Alpha: Empowering young men aged 12–15 with essential life skills, character

  • development, and guidance on critical health and responsibility topics.

Our mission to uplift and inspire is an ongoing journey, and in today's changing world, the call
for strong leadership and community support is greater than ever. We firmly believe in leaving
every space we touch better than we found it. As Chapter President, my focus is to empower our
members, foster meaningful collaboration, and work hand-in-hand as a team to create real,
lasting change.

We invite you to join us on this journey. Please explore our national website

(ww.apa1906.net),
follow us on our social media channels (Clayton County Alphas) to stay connected with our
upcoming events, and learn more about our national initiatives.

Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to connecting and partnering with you!

Warm regards,
